Ask HE: Order of submissions
How are the submitted links / posts sorted when I check them on my profile? It has nothing to do with submissions date, comments, points or the alphabet.
I think a chronological / date order would be best.

What makes you say "It has nothing to do with submissions date, comments, points or the alphabet." ?? It's almost certainly very similar to HackerNews, and is a combination of points and age. Newer submissions rank higher, points push it higher, as an item ages it falls down the rnakings.
What makes you say otherwise? What tests have you done? Perhaps if you provide your observations we can explain them.
Either we are talking about two different things or I see now what happens.
I talk about posts you have submitted not the top section.

Could it be possible that the site uses the same query / algorithm as the front page but also filters for the user? (just speculation)
Hacker News uses a chronological order which is - IMHO - better. If I want to check if a recent submission has some votes or comments I do not want to search it. There isn't even a reason. It should just be on the top of the list not something I posted month ago.

I can find no way of tracking back to the comment you are replying to, so I'm replying here to see if it displays the thread ...
... and it worked. If the owners read this, there's a UI issue to work out. When I read notifications I can't always find the comment to which they are replying.
However, back to your question ...
I was mistaken and didn't read your question properly. now I understand both the question and the confusion, and I have no answer.
It's a good question.
Is there a single place for issues like this to be documented and tracked?
