Personally, I have worked in the valley and NYC, but I also have a number of developer friends in Europe or Japan. I think there's more than just geographical boundaries. I think the "European sensibility" leads to a different sort of hacker, and I would love to see how this community can grow!

This leads me to question if it would not be preferable to add region specific sub-HN with tags+filters for instance instead of starting a new HN.
