They'll try to pass it later, when the internet protest will "get old". Don't remember where i read it, but that's basicially what a diplomat said.

yes, both may be the case. however in the past our minister of justice has strongly opposed to some laws invading too much into privacy and accepted them only with changes. it may also just a move to show the public that she has some kind of doubt

This is probably just a diversion because there will be demonstrations in more than 60 german cities against acta tomorrow.
