IMO, the focus on Europe is the main advantage. As a regular HN reader I can't help but notice how far fetched some news and advice are from our own reality.

Europe is a different beast altogether. Different cultures, different opportunities, different consumer patterns, different challenges.

I wouldn't be too surprised if HE turns out to be an excellent tool to propel and raise awareness around the European startup scene. I certainly hope so.

So far, it's been refreshing!

HackfulE is a place to see whats going on in my back yard.

The hustling stage of building stuff is addictive & its good to see it in others.

For me it's a chance to interact with like-minded folks in Europe. So far I've mostly been involved in the Free Software and Icelandic tech communities, it would be nice to broaden the horizons a bit.

I hope that HE will become a quite crowded place, full of Startup relevant information, Programming Trends and Tips and, of course, discussions about that.

Also i hope to get to know some people like me ....

It is a breath of fresh air, it also shows that the startup mentality is getting more open, rather than just keeping it to yourself. It also gives me hope that there's a chance for me to do business in Europe. Peace
