The startup scene is getting pretty hot in Italy too. Most of the online communication goes through a facebook group, but that is by its own nature very fragmentary and an easy to search db of the startups in the scene was missing - that's why I started to build StartingUp Italia. The design is non-existent, but the functionality should be there :)

I was also wondering: Do you feel that something like these with a European focus would be useful?
